Supadu WP Theme Updates - What's New

This document summarises the changes and updates made to our product theme with each new release. It helps you stay informed about new features, improvements, bug fixes, and other enhancements that will improve your experience with our WP theme.

1.43.0	4 August 2025	Improved accessibility for screen readers: Replaced confusing uses of “X” with proper close buttons and symbols (e.g. for product dimensions). Security update applied: Behind-the-scenes library updated to a safer version to address known vulnerabilities. Mobile accordion fix: Resolved a bug where the first tab in a mobile tabbed section needed two taps to open. You can now choose whether it starts open or closed. Homepage reorder issue fixed: New homepage sections now appear correctly in the reorder panel and on the live site without needing to recreate the page. 3D book cover display fixed: Fixed a bug causing 3D book covers to overlap or display incorrectly on some browsers. Product page blurb fix: Blurbs now appear in the Praise tab even when there are no reviews in your product data.

1.42.1	25 June 2025	Corrected an issue where carousels didn’t scroll by the expected number of books. Resolved a display issue with some missing review blurbs on product pages.
1.42.0	2 June 2025	Account & Cart Icons Accessibility: Improved screen reader support by adding necessary labels to the account and cart icons. Praise Tab Filtering: Enhanced the Praise tab on product pages to show blurbs pulled from ONIX data, improving content relevance. Carousel Upgrade: Replaced the old carousel with a smoother, more accessible version for better performance and easier maintenance—no visible changes to users. Promo Banner Accessibility Fix: Fixed accessibility issues with the promo banner to make navigation easier for screen reader users.
1.41.0	9 May 2025	Navigation Bug Fix: Fixed issue where the main navigation bar stayed fixed at the top after scrolling or refreshing. Journals Popup: Enabled keyboard navigation for the Journal Issue field in the popup, improving accessibility. A–Z Pages: Fixed special character sorting so names like “éditions” now appear under the correct letter. Accessibility - WCAG 2.2: Updated all buttons and interactive elements to meet the 24×24px minimum target size requirement.
1.40.0	14 April 2025	Removed ‘Subjects’ from WordPress admin - to avoid confusion, as it's not used in live sites. Improved accessibility by removing single-key keyboard shortcuts - ensures compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards. Fixed Supafolio module layout - product text now properly aligned in grids and carousels. Corrected series A-Z sorting - titles like The Backwaters Prize now sort under “B”, not “T”. Supafolio Module publication date formats now show correctly.
1.39.0	25 March 2025	Related Titles carousel text is now centrally aligned by default across all sites. Optional Ajax Buy Button logic added to improve performance and avoid caching issues. Fixed issue where the "Journal Issue" field was not appearing in the Foxy checkout.
1.38.2	3 March 2025	Cover image accessibility improvements. Publishers, Categories, and Imprints details page URL structure SEO improvements. Minor Safari mobile homepage image bug fixed. Awards description, year, and position will now all show by deafult if populated in ONIX.
1.37.5	10 Jan 2025	Hotfix for subjects not showing.
1.37.4	6 Jan 2025	Names of series, imprints, or publishers that begin with "The," "A," or "An" will no longer be alphabetically sorted by these prefixes on A-Z pages. Author page carousel text will now be centrally aligned. The Summary field can now be displayed either in the main biography section or within the Description tab.
